Create a profile in Firefox

Every time we make a change in the settings and default configuration of Mozilla Firefox, these changes are stored and can be reloaded. This is handy to transfer them to another PC or maintain a backup of all our Firefox settings. Along with the Firefox settings, you can also store bookmarks and passwords. How?

The saved file is called a profile.
One can also create multiple profiles if and when necessary.

 Before you proceed to make a new profile, make sure that you have exited Firefox.

 Once Firefox is closed, press [Windows] + [R] on your keyboard to open the ‘Run’ dialog box.

 Now type firefox.exe –ProfileManager and click ‘OK’.

 Click ‘Next’ in the ‘Create New Profile’ dialog box that appears.

 As the last step, enter a new Profile name in the dialog box and click ‘Finish’.
You don’t necessarily have to change the name. You can change the location of the
profile by clicking on the ‘Choose Folder’ button.

Your settings are now saved for future use. On clicking on ‘Finish’, your newly saved profile will be listed in the ‘Choose User Profile’ dialog box. These can be loaded later by following a similar procedure.
